The Applicants will share with AATHEN their respective expertise in disease modeling and research programs on ARBs to spark collaboration, enhance training, facilitate grant renewals and funding of new ARB proposals for new indications. In return, AATHEN will share with the Applicants novel ARB molecules, tools to fast-track new IP and spin-off creation, facilitate Mitacs-funded technology development for the translation of ARB research.
The UBC Applicants span several sites, including the UBC Point Grey and Okanagan campuses, St. Paul’s Hospital Heart + Lung Innovation Centre, BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute, the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health and the BC Cancer Agency Research Centre. The Applicants are affiliated with the UBC-V Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Science and the UBC-O Faculty of Health and Social Development.
